The recent supreme court judgment which declared President Ahmed Bola Tinibu as the winner of the 2023 Presidential election, has been describe as a slap on the face of Nigerians.
The Director Connectional Ministries of United Methodist Church UMC, Rev Philip Micah Dopah, stated this in an interview with our correspondent in Jalingo.
“To me personally, there is nothing to rejoice about and as Nigerians, we should cover ourselves in shame.
“With the supreme court judgment, we are not only suffering from political bandits in the forest or mountains, but we are also suffering judicial banditry. So to me personally, with the forge certificate of president Tinibu, the Intergrity of Nigeria is at stake.
“Were ever you go as Nigerian, they consider you as fake because with this, we have tell the world that Nigerians are lovers of evil.
“I am calling on Nigerians to do everything possible to take our feature in our hands. People should not down play us with technicalities.
“In Nigeria, if we should have judiciary, let us have judiciary and if don’t have judiciary, let us end what is call judiciary.
He said that during the time of President Olusegun Obasanjo vs Buhari, the issue of 25 percent in Abuja was put into consideration, but that today, the same supreme court is saying that 25 percent is not an important matter in this issue.
“If people are giving judgement base on their interest, I don’t think we will have Nigeria of our dream.
“The fear of God is the biggining of Wisdom. Our judges in this country most fear God, because everyone of us is accountable to God, they should remember the last day – he said.
He pointed out that the forgery certificate of president Tinibu is a record in years to come.
“Even Tinibu rule for Four or Eight years, Nigeria still record that it ones have a president with fake certificate.
“Let the supreme court note that they are not the final saying, for we have supreme being that the supreme court justices are answerable to. Since they have decided to mortgage the feature of Nigerians, by illegalizing illegalities, definitely, God is watching them – he added.
