Analyst Says Proposed Suspension of Cyberbullying Case Demonstrates Goodwill, Urges Accountability from All Parties
Columnist and public affairs analyst, Dr Lemmy Ughegbe, has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for what he described as its restraint and gracious handling of activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, insisting that the agency’s willingness to consider suspending his alleged cyberbullying trial reflects goodwill and professionalism.

Ughegbe, however, maintained that the DSS’s perceived restraint should not be interpreted as an exemption from its responsibility to pursue the case to a lawful conclusion, stressing that accountability must apply equally to security agencies and individuals making allegations against them.
