Today i honour a man whose life and service have been a shining testament to patriotism, discipline, and unwavering dedication to the Nigerian nation, our distinguished former Chief of Defence Staff.
Throughout his years of meritorious service, he stood as a guardian of our sovereignty, a symbol of courage, and a pillar of national unity. His tenure was marked by tireless commitment, strategic foresight, and an unflinching resolve to defend the territorial integrity of our beloved country. Through challenging times and moments of triumph, he demonstrated not only military excellence but a deep love for Nigeria, one rooted in faith, sacrifice, and the pursuit of peace.
As Chief of Defence Staff, he carried the weight of national security with uncommon grace and vision. Under his watch, the Nigerian Armed Forces experienced renewed strength, improved coordination, and enhanced professionalism. He inspired confidence among his troops, earned respect among global counterparts, and reassured millions of citizens through his calm leadership and steady hand.
