FOND MEMORIES OF 16 YEARS OF MARRIAGE AND 25 YEARS OF INSPIRING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HON. BARR. ORJI UCHENNA ORJI AND WIFE MRS IJEOMA SYLVIA ORJI
-A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person
This day in history, 2nd May 2009, will always be honoured by me as a red letter day of fondest memory. I thank God for his abiding grace and lavishing blessings upon my family. The history of my journey of life gained spectacular momentum after moments of my nuptial bliss with my dear wife and confidant Mrs Ijeoma Sylvia Orji nee Okafor.

I reflect with fond memories the powerful homily delivered by the Priest that officiated in the marriage solemnization, Very Rev. Dr. Abraham Chukwuma Nwali, who represented the then Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese,His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Nnachi Okoro.
I am enthused to remember the impressive display of ceremonial grandeur that greeted the wedding ceremony and the honour of the esteemed presence of who is who that attended my wedding ceremony, which was chaired by the then Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, Ebonyi State Chapter and who later rose in his divine call for service to humanity as Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Governor of Ebonyi State, 1st Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th Senate, and now Honourable Minister of Works,His Excellency Sen Engr Nweze David Umahi CON,FNSE FNATE GGCEHF, my boss for life.
I remember with the deepest gratitude the remarks of the Chairman of the occasion, which have continued to inspire and sustain my marital life, the good will of the then Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency,Chief Martin N. Elechi CON, who was represented by his Chief of Staff and the best wishes of the cream de la cream of society that graced the occasion. I send my best regards to you all.
I will continue to thank my Maker for revealing the secrets of marriage to me. He made me understand that the highest happiness on earth is the happiness of marriage. I have come to know that happy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry. In the words of Martin Luther, “there is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship or communion or company than a good marriage.” These are the virtues that my marriage savours.
To my dear wife, thank you for being the best in my life and for adding value to the essence of my existence. I will continue to love and cherish you as the most precious gift of my mortal being. Thank you for understanding that a great marriage is not when the perfect couple comes together, but it is when an imperfect couple comes to enjoy their differences.
Thank you for giving me generations of good-looking and God loving offspring. May God continue to care for us and prosper our aspirations through the mightiness of his grace, Amen.
