In continuation of its 2025 Press Week, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCDA Chapel on Thursday visited the LEA Nomadic Primary School, Jabi, Abuja, paid school fees for some of the pupils and donated learning materials to them.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Felicia Anthony-0koro urged the pupils to ignore whatever challenges they may be facing presently and take their studies serious as they are the future leaders of the country. “I feel very happy seeing that you are here to learn.

Please, take your studies serious, nothing good comes easy in life. Education is one of the keys to the good things of life”, she told them.
The Chairman urged the pupils to encourage their mates who are of the habit of absenting themselves from school to change forthwith, as according to her, learn does not require such truancy, but consistency and determination, and the will to succeed in life.

She said, “Tell your mates who, we are told, are of the habit of staying away from school, or coming to school and running away before closing time to change from such a habit. Tell them that life is not like that. Life requires doing well whatever you do. Put you mind and heart to it”
Responding, the Head Teacher of the School, Mrs Esther Osagie commended the FCDA Chapel for the visit, the school fees paid and the learning materials donated to the pupils. She expressed optimism that such a gesture would spur the pupils to take their studies serious.

Mrs Osagie appealed to Nigerians to always endeavour to support the education of indigent pupils and students, adding that very many of them would like to go to school, but their parents do not have the resources to sponsor them.
