2023 Elections : Amasiri Ekuma – Ubaghala Hosts Candidates, Set to Vote With One Voice

2023 ELECTIONS: AMASIRI EKUMA UBAGHALA HOST CANDIDATES, READY TO VOTE With One Voice.

Ahead of the 2023 General Elections slated for February 25th the Amasiri Concerned Indigenes, an umbrella body for all the Sons and Daughters at Home and in the diaspora held interactive sessions with Candidates via Zoom, where each of them reeled out their manifesto and responded to questions from Panelists.

  1. Amasiri commends those who honoured the request to participate. For those who could not make it for reasons best known to them, we will speak with one voice. Having considered;
    a. Respect for Amasiri
    b. Performance during Presentation
    c. Capacity & Experience
    d. Competence based on how they responded to questions.
    e. Background check on each.
    f. What Amasiri stands to gain in the long run
  2. The interactive session started with the Senatorial, followed by the House of Representatives, and Gubernatorial Candidates.

Those who participated in the HoR category include:

  • Hon Barr Eni Chima Uduma (APC)
  • Hon Irem Ibom Oka (LP)
  • Rt Hon Idu Igariwey (PDP)

However, for the Senatorial, we had just two Candidates;

  • Sir Ifeanyi Eleje (APGA)
    -Hon Linus Abba Okorie (LP)

Let it be on record that the candidates of the APC and PDP were invited and three different reminders sent but they were a No Show, as they had no courtesy to either acknowledge Amasiri’s letters or make excuses.

  1. This is to let the World know that the Era of politicians taking the Amasiri People for granted is over. If you Show Love, We Reciprocate. We announce full endorsement of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Sir Peter Obi and his running Mate; as for the others, we will vote as already discussed.

Finally, we wish all the Candidates the best come Saturday, 25th February 2023. There is a lot Amasiri has to offer and we will do so effortlessly.

God Bless the Good People of Ekuma Ubaghala
