Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 2023 Governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, has denied the rumour that he wants to resign from PDP and join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Reacting to a statement credited to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro Emegha, where he was quoted to have stated that Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii was considering a move to join the APC, the business mogul said he has no intention to do so.

In the reaction titled: “OFFICIAL RESPONSE TO COMMENTS BY EBONYI APC CHAIRMAN, MR. STANLEY OKORO EMEGHA”, Dr. Odii stressed that: “I am yet to see any compelling reason—ideological, political, or developmental-that would warrant such a decision.”
“My attention has been drawn to public remarks credited to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Mr. Stanley Okoro Emegha, suggesting that I, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, am considering a move to join the APC.
“Let me categorically state that I am not considering joining the APC, now or in the foreseeable future.
“My commitment remains firmly with the ideals of purposeful leadership, people-oriented governance, and genuine democratic progress. These values continue to guide my actions and political engagements. I believe in building a society anchored on justice, equity, and service—not opportunism or political convenience.
“While I acknowledge Mr. Emegha’s right to express his opinions and promote his party, I urge political actors, especially those in leadership positions, to refrain from speculative statements that may mislead the public or distort the political landscape of Ebonyi State.
“My focus remains on contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of our dear state and nation, through platforms and processes that truly reflect the will and welfare of the people.
“I appreciate the continued support, trust, and encouragement from my numerous supporters, well-wishers, and the good people of Ebonyi State.”
