The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), H. E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has joined other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the APC Presidential Campaign Mega Rally held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The high-profile political event, organized to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of upcoming elections, saw a massive turnout of party faithful, top government appointees, and regional leaders from across the South-South zone.
The rally was preceded by a massive South-South solidarity road walk along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, culminating in a packed stadium reception featuring cultural displays and goodwill messages.
Alongside NIS DG Philip Shaibu, the event drew prominent dignitaries including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and other key stakeholders.
In his address to the crowd, Shaibu praised President Tinubu’s leadership, specifically highlighting the administration’s notable achievements in national sports development and youth empowerment initiatives.
Shaibu described the extensive turnout as a validation of public trust in the APC-led administration, urging party members to sustain the momentum and aggressively mobilize voters to secure a definitive victory at the polls.
