…Pays Condolence Visit to Shekarau

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has served as the marriage guardian (Waliyi) to the son of Senator Rufa’i Hanga, Yusuf Rufa’i Sani Hanga, during his wedding solemnisation with Dr. Salma Munkaila
The solemnisation ceremony, which attracted family members, relatives and well-wishers, saw Governor Yusuf formally represent the groom as Waliyi, in accordance with Islamic marriage traditions.
As part of the ceremony, the Governor paid a dowry of ₦500,000 to the bride, which was formally received by her Waliyi, Professor Aminuddeen.
Governor Yusuf offered prayers for the newlyweds, asking Almighty Allah to bless their union with love, peace, understanding and lasting happiness, while granting them divine guidance and protection throughout their marital journey.
The Governor was accompanied to the ceremony by his Deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo; the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim; and other top government officials.
Meanwhile, Governor Yusuf also paid a condolence visit to the residence of former Kano State Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, following the death of his elder sister, Hajiya Asabe Abdullahi Giginyu.
During the visit, the Governor expressed his sympathy to the former Governor and his family over the painful loss, while praying Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
The condolence visit formed part of the Governor’s engagements, as he extended the state’s support and solidarity to the bereaved family during their moment of grief.
