By Uloma Peace Okorie

In the heart of Nigeria’s political landscape, a remarkable woman has emerged as a beacon of hope and progress. Hon. Chinwe Clara Nnabuife, representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency of Anambra State at the House of Representatives, is a shining example of dedication and commitment to public service.

Born on September 28, 1971, in Orumba, Anambra State, Hon. Nnabuife’s journey to the nation’s capital was paved with hard work and determination. She obtained her Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and went on to work with the Abuja Municipal Area Council. Later, she ventured into real estate development, building a reputation for herself as a savvy entrepreneur.

Hon. Nnabuife’s entry into politics was a natural progression, driven by her passion for effective representation and sustainable development for her people. She initially won her seat under the Young Progressives Party (YPP) but soon realized that her values and vision aligned more closely with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). In March 2025, she made the bold decision to defect to APGA, citing her commitment to strengthening the party’s influence in the region.

As a first-term member of the 10th National Assembly, Hon. Nnabuife has distinguished herself through her tireless advocacy for human capital development, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Her legislative focus is driven by a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of her constituents, and she has pledged to work collectively with her party members to advance APGA’s agenda.

With her defection, Hon. Nnabuife expressed optimism about the future, believing that her move would strengthen APGA’s political influence in the region. Her commitment to effective representation and sustainable development is unwavering, and she remains a voice for change in the nation’s capital. As she continues to serve her constituents, Hon. Nnabuife’s legacy as a champion of progress and development is already taking shape.
