As the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) Church Centenary celebration approaches, His Most Eminence, the Baba Aladura, Elder (Dr) DL Bob-manuel has tasked ESOCS women worldwide to be vessels of transformation as they walk towards the centenary and beyond.
He also re- assured them that his resolve to work with them in building a new ESOCS of their dream without losing their heritage is still unshaken.
He said this in an address he presented at the just concluded 13th Baba Aladura’s Women Conference held recently at the Mount Zion National Headquarters in Lagos.
According to him, he said ” we shall not forget in a hurry the role of women of the bible in transforming societies and lives.
“Therefore in this era when we have resolved to renew our vision and strengthen our mission, with a view to achieving excellence in our operations, the role of women shall be rekindled as we prepare for our centenary Celebration and looking forward to the next one hundred years of the church.
The God of our fathers shall strengthen ESOCS women to be vessels of transformation in our walk towards the centenary,” the baba Aladura said.
Taking His Bible quotation from Matthew 26:13, the baba Aladura said the role of women in the body of Christ is underscored by the proclamation of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
This he explained further makes it imperative that christians of this world, shall at all times give women the chance to function in capacities that would glorify God and edify the body of Christ.
Such women he said have awoken to the righteousness of God or are willing and ready to present themselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God as saint Paul admonished the early christians in Romans 12:1.
He cited an example of Rahab the woman who saved the spies that were sent to spy the land of Canaan the moment she awoke to the righteousness of God and never went back to her old self but moved on with the righteousness of God.
“At the end of her journey on earth, the Bible record has it that she was among the lineage of Christ.Secondly, Ruth according to the Bible was a woman of honour, who awoke to the Righteousness of God and presented herself as a living sacrifice and never conformed to the pleasures and pressure of the world.”he said.
Against all odds, he added she hooked unto the Righteousness of God and kept her faith focused unto Jesus and her end story is she was among the lineage of our saviour Jesus Christ, he concluded.
