In a tribute marking Nigeria’s 26 years of uninterrupted democracy, the Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Council, Hon. Mrs. Euphemia Nwali, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for their significant contributions to advancing democratic values in the nation and the state.

Reflecting on this joyous occasion, Hon. Nwali expressed her delight in joining the residents of Ezza South, Ebonyi State, and all Nigerians in celebrating this year’s Democracy Day. She emphasised the satisfaction felt by constituents regarding the positive transformations brought about by the current administration.
“Over the past two years, we have seen how Your Excellency not only envisions a brighter future for Ebonyians but also actively represents our interests. Your commitment to the People’s Charter of Needs and the delivery of exceptional democratic dividends has truly made a difference in our lives,” she stated.
Hon. Nwali praised the administration’s respectful handling of opposition within the state, which she believes has reinforced public trust in democracy. “Your Excellency’s tolerance of dissent has solidified our belief in democracy, showcasing your humility, grace, and courage under pressure,” she added.
She further highlighted that the essence of democracy is not solely reflected in physical infrastructure but rather in the democratic ideals instilled in the hearts of the people. “The legacy you are creating in the minds of Ebonyians—an authentic understanding of democracy—surpasses any material achievement,” Nwali emphasised.
Additionally, the Ezza South Council Chair acknowledged Governor Nwifuru, noting that his groundbreaking democratic initiatives have made him an inspiring figure and a model democrat. “His wise and God-fearing approach to governance reflects the divine capability endowed upon him to lead our state effectively,” she concluded.
As Nigeria celebrates 26 years of democracy, Hon. Euphemia Nwali’s words resonate with a community grateful for the return to democratic governance and hopeful for the future under capable leadership.
