Ebonyi : Chinedu Ogah embarks on thank you visit to Constituents

Chinedu Ogah, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions and member representing Ikwo Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Saturday visited Igbudu community in Ikwo Local government area of Ebonyi State to thank the people for their support.

The event took place at Agubia Ikwo over the weekend.

Ogah said he embarked on the thank you tour to appreciate his constituents from Igbudu ward 1 for their massive support during the 2023 general elections, noting that their votes contributed to his victory.

He commended the leadership style of the State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, especially his infrastructure and human capital development agenda.

The lawmaker advised his constituents to continue to support the present administration both in the state and at the national level, noting that Governor Francis Nwifuru’s administration ended the crisis in the Ikwo Local Government Area.

Ogah highlighted some ongoing government projects in the area, including school renovation and road construction, among others, and urged the people to invest in meaningful ventures to become self-relevant wealth creators and employers of Labour in society.

And pledged to install solar lights in the market squares in all the wards in Ikwo Local Government Area in order to encourage nightlife and boost the people’s business activities in the area.

Ogah said the state Governor, Nwifuru, has a plan for more political appointments, believing that his constituents would be among the beneficiaries.He urged the people to shun crisis and opposition parties, so that they can continue to enjoy the full dividends of democracy of the present administration.

He urged youths of the area to embark on meaningful ventures to better their life.

Earler, the Igbudu community thanked Ogah for his effective representation, since he assumed office as a Federal Lawmaker.

In an address of welcome, the National Youth President of the Community, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu, said Ogah was a positive vessel of change to humanity, especially in building peace and unity among the constituents.

He said, politically, the APC stakeholders and their members in the Community gathered in their numbers to welcome their leader, Ogah, whom he described as a true son of Amagu Erimaogwudu Kingdom in Igbudu land.

“Firstly, to appreciate you for your effective representation, administrative ingenuity, politics of inclusiveness, and amicable distribution of dividends of democracy to your constituents, we say thank you, Sir. It is our collective wish to thank you because your dividend of democracy speaks volumes within Ikwo and Ezza South Federal Constituency and even beyond, of which the Ndufu Igbudu community is not left out.

“The citing of 500KV and 300KV transformers in Agubia and Imogo, respectively, were eloquent testimonies of your good governance. You have empowered individuals in our ward with motorbikes, distributed rice seedlings and fertilizer to farmers, constructed bridges and culverts, secured federal jobs for most of our sons, paid WAEC and NECO fees to our students in secondary schools, paid hospital bills to some people within the ward, supported most of our councilors to secure their intent forms financially, empowered some financially for the upkeep of their homes and businesses, awarded scholarships to some of our children, supporting to our local area to mention but a few. “Sir, your visit today comes as a joyous daybreak to the end of the long night of our captivity,”.

He recalled that since 1980 till date, that the Ikwo/Ezza Federal Constituency, has never had such an effective lawmaker like Ogah representing the constituents in the National Assembly.Chukwu said the community people, however, requested that Ogah assist them by constructing their road from the Eagle Roundabout to Agubia Ikwo motor park and to facilitate the inclusion of their sons and daughters in political appointive positions from the government of the federal to the grassroots.

Hon. Clement Nweke member Federal pilgrimage board in his remarks commended ogah for his quality represention and said that Igbudu community are 100% in supporting Ogah and the government of Gov Francis Nwifuru.
