Ebonyi Governor to Engage Professionals in Consolidating Development

Governor of Ebonyi State Et Hon Francis Nwifuru has assured that his administration will engage professionals in the task of consolidating the development of the State.

Governor Nwifuru made the commitment during a post inauguration thanksgiving held at Saint Emmanuel Catholic Parish, Edukwachi, Izzi Local Government Area, Sunday.

He called on Stakeholders of the State to be patient with his administration in it’s drive to transform the State, assuring that he would get it right at fullness of time.

“I want to assure you that though it is not possible for us to accommodate everybody but a good number of our faithful members will be accommodated in our administration.

“Experience is the teacher, our Government Will do justice to all the things that concern the welfare of people of the State.

“We are getting into a very deep ocean now, politics is difficult, everybody now wants to be the friend of the Governor and former Governor.

“We will get professionals to do the professional work and politicians to do political works.”

He pledged to unite all segments of the State a across party lines before the end of his administration.

“I have to say this, you see this kindred thing, it has never worked for you and I and since it never worked for you, don’t ever believe in it.”

He commended the Emeritus Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki for his contribution to the spiritual growth of people of the State.

“Generally I am so delighted, I am so grateful to all Ebonyi people that believed in our course, I want to promise that governance is different from politics, we will do everything possible to make you proud.”

Governor Nwifuru explained that his decision to build a church was a fulfilment of the promise he made to God, while appreciating his parents and immediate family for their support especially during turbulent periods

In a homily, Reverend Father Jude Agama thanked the Governor for the wisdom to thank God for his goodness in his family.

“When he was contesting election, some people said is he coming to contest for Governor, does he not know that he is a small boy, there are other bigger and elderly people, my dear people of God, David was the youngest but at the end, he became the man after God’s own heart.
