Ebonyi to Endorse Tinubu for Second Term on June 15Nkechinyere EwaThe Ebonyi State Government has announced plans to formally endorse president Bola Tinubu for a second term in office during a grand political rally scheduled for June 15, 2026, at the Abakaliki township stadium.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Bar Ikeuwa Omebe.

According to the statement, the endorsement is being championed by the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru and the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state in recognition of what it described as President Tinubu’s achievements in infrastructure, economic growth and human capital development over the past three years.

The government stated that Ebonyi State has been among the beneficiaries of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, citing federal appointments given to several indigenes of the state.

Among those listed were the Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi and alongside several others appointed into federal boards, commissions and agencies.

The state government also highlighted a number of federal projects and intervention programmes being implemented in Ebonyi under the Tinubu administration. These include the Renewed Hope Housing Estate, the Enugu-Abakaliki Expressway, the Trans-Saharan Super Highway and the 30-span Ndibe Bridge linking Ebonyi and Cross River states.

Other interventions listed include agricultural support programmes for women and youths, cash transfer schemes, labour-intensive public works initiatives and youth empowerment programmes aimed at boosting agriculture and economic development across the state.

The government called on stakeholders and residents to support the endorsement programme, describing it as a demonstration of appreciation for the federal government’s contributions to the development of Ebonyi State.

The grand endorsement ceremony is expected to attract political leaders, government officials, party supporters and other stakeholders from across the state.
