The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter has taken a giant leap into the digital future, thanks to a pioneering partnership between Hope Raisers Global Foundation and Learn By Building Foundation.

After an intense and engaging one-month Digital Skills Training, the program came to a close, leaving an indelible mark on the participants. The training aimed to bridge the digital divide and enhance the journalistic skills of women in the media.
It’s been an eye-opening experience, exclaimed Princess Joy Omagha Idam, a participant from NAWOJ FCT. I can now confidently create engaging online content, manage social media platforms, and utilize digital tools to enhance my storytelling.

The training sessions were designed to be interactive, with facilitators encouraging participants to ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another. We wanted to create a safe space for women journalists to grow, network, and support each other, said Amb Mrs Angonimi David-Imeh , Founder of Hope Raisers Global Foundation.

Throughout the training, participants gained hands-on experience in:
- Digital storytelling and content creation
- Social media marketing and management
- Online research and fact-checking
- Data-driven journalism and visualization
- Cybersecurity and online safety
“The training has boosted my confidence in using digital tools for investigative journalism,” said Madam E, another participant.
The partnership between Hope Raisers Global Foundation and Learn By Building Foundation demonstrated the power of collaboration in driving positive change.
We’re proud to have empowered these talented women journalists with the skills to thrive in the digital landscape, said Mrs Chioma Chukwudi Chukwu, Founder of Learn By Building Foundation.

As the participants graduated from the program, they were equipped with a newfound sense of purpose and the skills to amplify their voices in the digital age.
