The International President of the Standup for Women Society (SWS) Barr Deborah A. Ijadele- Adetona, on Monday via a Press Statement made available to Weekenders Magazine, announced the appointment of
LIB. MRS. STELLA OKOH-ESENE as the new FCT Abuja chapter Chairperson.
She halls from Esan town of Edo State.
A retired Civil Servant, from the Ministry of Information, but now works for a private Media Outfit.
Lib Okoh-Esene holds an Advanced Diploma in Journalism. She was one time Chairperson of The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter. Lib Stella Okoh – Esene will be Chairperson of SWS FCT Abuja for the next two years, with immediate effect from today February 5, 2024.
The International President SWS, called on members to accord the new Chairperson all necessary recognition, cooperation and support to enable us move FCT Abuja Forward. She appreciated all FCT members for their worthy contributions and support always to the growth of SWS in Abuja.
In a related development, the International President SWS also announced the appointment of FCT Matron, Lib HAJIA FATIMA NANA IBRAHIM-IYAL. Having served the organization for two consecutive terms s Chairperson FCT SWS, she was found worthy to be elevated to the position of Matron for FCT Chapter.
She hails from Abugi in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, but resident in FCT Abuja.
She is a Civil Servant with PenCom in FCT Abuja. Holder of B.Sc Statistics, Master in Financial Economics.
From now onward, she will be in charge and give advises on the following:
- Women Welfare
- Women Empowerment
- Health related Matters
- Educating/Training Women.
She is expected to support the chapter in mobilisation, raising finances needed towards implementing programmes and other set goals of the society whenever the need arise. She called on the members to accord her necessary recognition and support.
