Quite a number of top officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), have hailed the Pioneer Permanent Secretary of Education Secretariat, Mr. Prospect Chukwuemeka Ibe, at his retirement as a goal oriented and well experienced Civil Servant.
All the enormous praises and expressions of gratitude took place during valedictory ceremony held, Monday, in honoured of Mr. Ibe at Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Pyakasa, Maitama, Abuja.
Leading all hails and praises was the Mandate Secretary, FCT Education Secretariat, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, who hailed ex-Permanent Secretary by describing him as verse experienced Civil Servant who has contributed in the transformation of the education Secretariat.
Hayyo emphasized that one major thing that would be missed from the outgoing Permanent Secretary which is hard to be gotten from a lot of Staff today is ‘trust worthiness.”
“I wish the FCT Administration will continue to get this type of personalities as Staff with open mindedness and full of ‘trust’ at all time. I urge all the Staff to emulate his good exemplary life style for better achievements.” Hayyo said.
Also, the Permanent Secretary, Social Development Secretariat, Mrs. Olubumi Olowokere, who make her commendations out of enthusiasm, said Ibe deserve to be honoured as such because of his tremendous achievements in the career, describing him as a hard working and goal oriented personality.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Permanent Secretary, Health Services and Environment Secretariat, Dr. Baba-Gana Adam, ascertained the maturity and decency the Ex-Permanent Secretary has shown during his days of service; urging all staff to emulate his good legacies.
The highlight of the colourful programme was the unveiling of the Press Clips and Action in Pictures Publication in honour of the Pioneer Permanent Secretary, Education Secretariat.
The Publication put together by the Information/ Public Relations Unit of the Education Secretariat is a documentation of historical record and key moments of the retiring Permanent Secretary contributions during his tenure .
Responding, Ibe thanked the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for seeing him worthy to be giving an opportunity to serve on that capacity, saying that, indeed, the position has granted him more opportunity to explore at the peak of his career as a Civil Servant.
The ex-Permanent Secretary further appreciated all the Staff of FCT Administration for their huge support given to him while in service, assuring them that his wealth of experience will always be made available where and when needed.
