Former Kano Information Commissioner, Baba Halilu Dantiye Condoles NAWOJ National Secretary Over Mother’s Demise

Former Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs in Kano State, Comrade Baba Halilu Dantiye, has paid a condolence visit to the National Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan, following the passing of her beloved mother.

The visit, which took place in Kano, was a demonstration of solidarity, compassion, and shared grief as Comrade Dantiye joined family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers in mourning the loss. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah to grant the bereaved family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Dantiye described the death of a mother as one of life’s most painful experiences, urging the family to take solace in the exemplary life she lived and the enduring legacy she left behind. He encouraged Comrade Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan and the entire family to remain steadfast in faith, noting that death is an inevitable transition that every soul must experience.

Responding, the NAWOJ National Secretary, Comrade Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan, expressed profound appreciation to the former Commissioner for the thoughtful visit and words of comfort. She thanked him for standing with the family during the difficult period, noting that his presence and prayers had brought immense encouragement.

The condolence visit further reflected the strong bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and professional camaraderie that exist among media practitioners and public servants, underscoring the importance of supporting one another in times of grief.
