APPRECIATION! APPRECIATION!! APPRECIATION!!!
Great women of our noble profession, I bring you special greetings and compliments of the new month.
Please, permit me to use this platform to express my profound gratitude to you all most especially those of who stood by me in the last three years in our quest to reposition NAWOJ and the achievements recorded thereafter.
A special tribute to all who believed and stood by the Consolidation Team to the end even in the face of unprovoked adversity, you remained strong and courageous professionals who believe in the growth of NAWOJ.
This you demonstrated in the huge number of votes cast you gave me in the midst of glaring adversity, travesty of justice and highly compromised electoral process.
We are consoled in the fact that history will be kind to us for breaking records and establishing sustainable structures for the development of NAWOJ.
May God bless you all immensely.
Special appreciation to our own enigma mother, a selfless leader per excellence, Chief Moji Makanjoula, our respected Aunties, namely; Evelyn Oyilo, Kande Daniel, Hannatu Musa, Asabe Baba, all former Presidents of NAWOJ and Aunty Veronica Ogbole as well as the Executive Director News, FRCN, Aunty Hussaina Akila Bangshika.
To the Director General and management staff of NTA, you are simply the best. The institutional, moral and financial support through out my tenure is unprecedented and worthy of commendation.
To all those involved in my campaign, you were awesome and dependable.
May the good God reward your labour of love.
I couldn’t have asked for better sisters.
To my two great ever dependable bosses, Sir Amos Dunia and Dele Atunbi, Esq. including NUJ Vice Presidents of Zones A, D and E, only God will reward you for all you did for me and what you represent in NUJ.
Lastly, as a democrat with deep appreciation of democratic ethos and a unionist, I hereby congratulate the new leadership of NAWOJ and wish all of you a successful tenure.
May NAWOJ gain and move forward.
Thank you.
LADI BALA
Jakadiya Jalingo, Former President NAWOJ
