The Deputy Governorship candidate of Kaduna State, Mr. Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, has formally accepted his nomination as the running mate to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, ahead of the 2027 general election, describing the opportunity as a “call to serve” and a responsibility he will carry with humility.
In a heartfelt statement of acceptance and gratitude, Adams expressed deep appreciation to the people of Kaduna State for the overwhelming support, prayers, goodwill messages and encouragement he has received since the announcement of his nomination.

He said the outpouring of support from across the state and beyond had been humbling, adding that although he might not have been able to respond personally to everyone, every message and gesture of goodwill had touched his heart.
“I do not take this moment lightly. I receive it first as an act of faith; faith placed in me by a Governor whose commitment to justice, equity and inclusion has been consistent since he took the oath of office,” Adams stated.
The nominee praised Governor Uba Sani for entrusting him with the responsibility, promising to work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Adams described the nomination as a reflection of the aspirations and hopes of the people of Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State at large, stressing that the opportunity was not merely a personal achievement but a collective responsibility.
According to him, the trust of the people comes with a duty to serve with honesty, humility and dedication.
“This nomination belongs to you as much as it belongs to me. It is the fruit of your patience, your prayers, and your unwavering belief that our home has something valuable to offer the government of this state,” he said.
The Deputy Governorship candidate also acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers and religious leaders in promoting peace and unity across Kaduna State.
He specifically commended the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) for their roles in encouraging dialogue, peaceful coexistence and understanding among the diverse communities in the state.
Adams noted that Kaduna’s strength lies not in its differences but in its ability to unite and work towards a common future.
He pledged that his partnership with Governor Uba Sani would focus on building a Kaduna State that is peaceful, prosperous and equitable for all citizens, regardless of ethnic, religious or social background.
“What I offer in return is simple: competence brought honestly to the table, unity pursued sincerely across every divide, and service rendered without pride,” he added.
The nomination of Jerry Adams, a respected professional with experience in finance and administration, has continued to generate conversations across political circles in Kaduna State, with supporters describing the choice as a step towards strengthening inclusion and representation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Adams ended his message with a commitment to serve the people of Kaduna State under the guidance of God and in partnership with Governor Uba Sani.
“Together with our ever-committed Governor, and with God’s guidance, we will work to build a Kaduna State that is peaceful, prosperous and fair to every one of its people,” he said.
