The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep condolences over the loss of the mother of Jeremiah Enemona Ochema, a distinguished reporter with AIT serving in Kano and the mother of Prof. Mainasara Kurfi, a respected academic in the Department of Mass Communication at Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
In a condolence message signed by his Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf extended his sympathy to Jeremiah Ochema and the entire AIT family.
The Governor praised the late mother for her exemplary role in raising a dedicated and hardworking journalist, praying for God to grant her eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the loss.
Similarly, Governor Yusuf condoled with Prof. Mainasara Kurfi, describing the late mother as a remarkable woman whose impact is reflected in the achievements of her son, a notable academic and mentor to many professionals in the media and communication field.
The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah to grant departed souls internal rest, provide comfort and peace to their families during this difficult time.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his belief in the vital role played by journalists and academics in shaping society and promised to continue supporting these pillars of development in Kano State.
