Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has appointed veteran journalist and media strategist, Hon Emmanuel Bello, as the official Spokesman for his 2027 governorship campaign.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Director-General of the campaign organisation, Danladi Baido, who said Bello will coordinate the campaign’s media communication and public engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

A respected journalist with decades of experience, Bello has built a distinguished career in both the media and public service. He previously served as Taraba State Commissioner for Information under two different administrations, where he played key roles in shaping government communication and public information management.

Before joining government, Bello worked with several leading Nigerian media organisations, beginning his journalism career as a reporter with the Daily Trust. He later served with Leadership Newspapers and THISDAY, before moving to ARISE News, where he was a member of the editorial team until his recent appointment into government.

Bello currently serves as Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications to Governor Kefas, a position in which he has overseen the administration’s media strategy and digital communication initiatives.

His appointment as campaign spokesman is expected to strengthen the governor’s communication machinery as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Taraba State.
