The Radical President of the Nigeria Youth Alternative Council (NYAC), who is also the ADC Candidate of Aniocha/ Oshimili, Federal Constituency, Icon Nixon Chukwuka Odimbu on February 1st 2023, led youths on a Protest In Asaba, the Delta State Capital, against the Fuel Scarcity, Increase in Price and Scarcity of the New Naira notes.
The State capital was shut down for over 4hours before the Commissioner of Petroleum and Gas, Commissioner of Transport and other State Executives came to Address the angry Youths.
The President of the Nigeria Youth Alternative Council, gave the State government 7day ultimatum to Address the people and find a lasting solution to this crises to avoid total break down of law and order in the State.
The President NYAC noted that the idea of citizens queuing for fuel, queuing for new currency for hours leaving their businesses and work was not good enough. He called on Governor ifeanyi Okowa to do everything possible to ensure that the cries of the people are attended to.
Icon Nixon Odimbunoted that “despite all agitations by various Pressure groups, and Nigerians, little or nothing has been made to curtail the many problems and pending doom in the Land. He thereby gave a 7 Days Ultimatum to the Government to address the issues, else the NYAC and the Voluntary Youth Organization (VYO),and other concerned bodies will shut down all forms of businesses in the state.
He explained that the situations has brought ” untold hardship on the people damages, pain and even led to deaths.”

said they will set up a panel to checkmate the hike in fuel price, and they will carry NYAC along to be part of the panel. Adding that the Governor is friendly and youth oriented.
