The Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji, has expressed satisfaction towards the Clerk of the House, Mall. Farouq Umar Isah, for the innovative initiative, training.
The Speaker made this known at the one-day induction and capacity training workshop for Committee Clerks held at the Assembly complex.
AbdulMalik stated that this marks one among the Assembly’s commitment towards capacity building and staff development.
He commended the Clerks efforts towards his ability to build a synergistic relationship with members of the 10th Assembly and expressed his gratitude making today a reality,while making a donation of 5 million naira to facilitate further training.
Also speaking,The Head of Service Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Idris, represented by Mrs. Joana Pada, Permanent Secretary, Human Resources, highlighted on the importance of training in unlocking human potential while urging encouraged participants to leverage the knowledge gained, particularly in ICT.
In his welcome remarks, the Clerk of the House, Mall. Farouq Umar Isah applauded the speaker, leadership, stating the aim of the training is to equipped Committee Clerks and parliamentary staff with fundamental knowledge of parliamentary practices and procedures, ultimately enhancing their effectiveness in serving the Assembly.
