Governor of Niger state Mohammed Umaru has received Torch of unity for the National Sports Festival scheduled to hold in Abeokuta Ogun state from May 16 to May 30th 2025.
The governor who spoke through his Deputy Comrade Yakubu Garba as he received the team in government house on Thursday emphasized on Sports as it stands a vital role in Nation building.
The governor reaffirmed his administration support as it’s ready to support and fully participate in the festival, making Niger state come out victorious .
Earlier ,the leader of the team and member of the National Sports commission Ikana Mbora said that Torch stands for an invitation for all the states ,explaining that all measures have been put to ensure smooth running.
Also the permanent secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Garba Nuhu Ngaski, said ministry is fully prepared as the come top in all the game activities participated ,saying the team sport will participate in 16 sports games.
