The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has extended warmest congratulations to “our esteemed phenomenal past leaders and current National Chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, for being honored with awards by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) during its 70th anniversary celebration held in Abuja”.

In a statement signed by the National Secretary, Comrade Wasilah Ladan, she noted that “this prestigious recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of these exceptional, phenomenal women to the advancement of journalism in Nigeria. Their contributions have not only elevated the profession but also inspired a new generation of journalists”.

The NAWOJ National Secretariat also commends the NUJ for this initiative, which shines a spotlight on the invaluable contributions of journalists to nation-building. “We appreciate the NUJ’s efforts in promoting excellence and fostering a culture of professionalism within the industry”, she declared.

We celebrate the awardees for their Outstanding achievements and thank the NUJ for this honor. We look forward to continued collaboration and mutual support in advancing the interests of journalists and promoting quality journalism in Nigeria.
