NUJ Congratulates IPCR new DG, Ochogwu

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council has congratulated Dr. Joseph Ochogwu on his appointment as Director General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR).

The council in a statement released in Abuja Tuesday, jointly signed by Comrade, Osaretin Osadebamwen and Ochiaka Ugwu, Vice Chairman and Secretary respectively, noted that Dr. Ochogwu’s appointment was well-deserved.

The Council noted that owing to his years of civil service experience and effective administration, as the Director of Research at the Institute his appointment is a good match for the institute.

“It is on record that Ochogwu’s eye for probity and paying attention to details stands him out and makes him a perfect fit for the job.

According to the statement, “His vision, probity, and administrative prowess have been instrumental in driving positive change and advancing peace building and conflict resolution in our great nation.

“As the Director of Research at the Institute, he was an inspiring example of leadership, guiding others to achieve remarkable milestones and being media friendly.

“On behalf of NUJ FCT Council, we congratulate Dr Ochogwu on his new assignment in national service.

“As he assumes the responsibilities of Director General, we have no doubt that he will bring the same level of dedication, integrity, and astute decision-making to his new role, forging meaningful partnerships that will shape policies and drive progress in the nation’s peace architecture.”
