Ilang Donatus, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Border Peace, has praised Hon. Chinedu Ogah, who represents the Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency, for his exemplary representation.
The Commissioner made this statement during the Official Flag-Off Ceremony for the distribution of farming inputs, scholarship awards, payment of WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees, as well as financial support for law school students from his constituency.

The event organised by the lawmaker on Saturday at Blessed Martins College of Nursing Science in Ohatekwe Amagu, Ikwo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State was honored by the wife of the Ebonyi state governor Uzoamaka Nwifuru.
Ilang highlighted that the distribution of farming inputs aligns with the governor’s efforts to alleviate food insufficiency in the state.
“What you are witnessing today specifically complements the excellent efforts of His Excellency, our dear Governor of Ebonyi State, who has laid the foundation for our farmers and agriculture to thrive here,” he said.
“This event includes the distribution of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs, along with the scholarship awards and the JAMB fees he has paid for the people of Ikwo and Ezza South, as well as the WAEC and NECO registration fees.”
He noted that the initiative was part of a routine annual program that Hon. Ogah had cherished even before his election.
“This foundation was established by him before he became an Honorable Member, and he has nurtured it to its current extensive form.”
Illang also noted the presence of the governor’s wife, who represented His Excellency at the event, indicating the significance of the program.
He recognized the attendance of other notable personalities, including members of the state executive, APC chairman and the party members, the House of Assembly, and various traditional rulers, as well as stakeholders from Ikwo and Ezza South federal constituency, all of whom are pleased to support this life-changing initiative.
“We are delighted that he is delivering the dividends of democracy to the people who elected him. His actions show that Ebonyi State is progressing and making its mark on the global stage. The work he is doing transcends his official position—it’s as if he operates at an executive level. This is why I said he complements the governor’s efforts. We are happy, and the people are happy.”
He urged the beneficiaries of the educational support and farm inputs to make the most of these opportunities for the benefit of their families and Ebonyi State as a whole.
“We pray that Almighty God will continue to empower him to carry out his work to the best of his ability. Our constituency is truly blessed,” he concluded.
