Professor Bernard Odoh, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate for Ebonyi State in 2023, emphasized the importance of increased investment in technology to keep the state competitive in a developing economy.
Odoh made these comments during a media interaction in Abakaliki on Thursday.
He commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for his commitment to education, especially for sponsoring thousands of Ebonyi indigenes on scholarships both locally and internationally.
“Education is the best legacy in the world,” he stated, appealing to the governor to continue investing in this critical sector.
“Today’s world is driven by technology. If we invest in technology and create a quality learning environment, it will secure our future,” he added.
On the security situation in the state, Odoh acknowledged Governor Nwifuru’s efforts in fostering peace, noting that he had personally reached out to the governor to commend his work in this regard.
