The Chinedu Ogah Foundation has marked its 26th anniversary and annual Christmas celebration with the distribution of ₦200 million in cash and twelve trailers of rice to constituents of Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State.

The event, held on December 26 at the Item Amagu residence of the lawmaker in Ikwo Local Government Area, attracted a massive turnout from the 31 wards of the constituency, continuing a post-Christmas tradition that has become a major annual highlight for the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, urged constituents to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, describing his leadership as people-focused and development-driven.

Hon. Ogah, who chairs the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, said the empowerment initiative was aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship and ensuring that families across the constituency shared in the joy of the Christmas season.

He further announced plans for a more expansive empowerment programme scheduled for March 2026, reaffirming his commitment to long-term grassroots development.

The federal lawmaker also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that his constituency projects align with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the “People’s Charter of Needs” of the Ebonyi State Government.

According to him, his interventions are designed to complement state and federal efforts in improving the welfare of the people.

Chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu, Director at the Nigerian Aviation Authority (Lagos), praised Hon. Ogah for consistently translating government policies into visible benefits at the grassroots.

Several speakers, including Dr. Donatus Ilang, Hon. Oguzor Offia-Nwali, and former Chief Whip of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Humphrey Nwuruku, described the scale of the empowerment as unprecedented, attributing the large turnout to the confidence and goodwill the people have in the lawmaker.

In his remarks, Hon. Ogah thanked constituents and guests for their continued support, stressing that the Foundation Day was primarily about sharing love, food, and financial support during the festive season.

“Our commitment to empowering our people remains unwavering. By March 2026, we shall unveil an even bigger programme,” he assured.

The distribution exercise was conducted peacefully, with beneficiaries drawn from all 31 wards of the constituency.

Dignitaries at the event included the Deputy Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah; Rt. Hon. Nkemka Onuma Okoro; members of the State Executive Council; APC leaders led by the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Chinedu Nwali; as well as youth groups, support groups, and cultural organizations.

Over the years, the Chinedu Ogah Foundation Day has grown into a major platform for charity and community engagement, reinforcing Hon. Ogah’s image as a strong advocate of grassroots empowerment and inclusive representation in Ebonyi State.
