NOTIFICATION OF DEATH
With a Heavy Heart but with total submission to the will of God, the family of Comrade Emmanuel Tortiv wishes to inform you of the passing onto Glory of their Father & Head of the Table, Late Elder Sylvester Tortiv Unaha.
He died after a brief illness at 12:00PM on Friday July 25th, 2025 at his Retirement Home in Daudu Town, Guma LGA of Benue North-West (Central) Senatorial District of the State.
He is survived by his second son, Comr. Emmanuel Tortiv, 11 other children, 15 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grand Children.
Born on April 19, 1949, Until his death, Elder Sylvester Tortiv Unaha joined the Nigerian Army and served in Sulejah, Sokoto, Lagos and retired in Minna Military Formations in defense of Nigeria as a Frontline Combatant (Lance Corporal) from 1967- 1986.
He retired from active service in 1986 and lived a peaceful and fulfilled Christian life for 39 years till death came calling yesterday.
