Project Christmas With Hope 2025 Lights Up Lives Across Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria — As the year 2025 draws to a close, Hope Raisers Global Foundation has announced the successful execution of its flagship nationwide humanitarian intervention, Project Christmas With Hope (CWH) 2025, themed “Lighting Up Lives: A Christmas of Hope and Unity.”

Now in its fifth year, the initiative has continued to grow in depth, reach, and impact. As at the time of this publication, Project Christmas With Hope 2025 has reached 23 states across Nigeria, with ongoing efforts to extend to even more locations before the end of the outreach cycle. This marks the second consecutive year the project has deliberately expanded toward the ambitious vision of covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Curated and led by Hope Raisers Global Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Abuja, Project Christmas With Hope was designed as a nationwide food drive aimed at cushioning the harsh economic realities facing vulnerable Nigerians, particularly during the festive season. The project aligns strongly with Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2): Zero Hunger, while also laying the groundwork for a long-term solution through a proposed home-grown agricultural sustainability project across the 36 states and the FCT.

From planning to advocacy and execution, CWH 2025 has been driven by collaboration. A coalition of non-governmental organizations partnered with Hope Raisers Global Foundation to bring the vision to life. These partners include: Enitan Growth Hub Foundation (FCT), Tech Herfrica (FCT), Ivyline Care Foundation (Abia), Abila Foundation (Bayelsa), Pregnancy Care Support Foundation (Kaduna), Orchard Hub Foundation (Enugu), Marv Space Foundation (Lagos), AlbertGold Global Empowerment Foundation (FCT), NevDex Human & Community Development (Bauchi),Rural Agricultural Transformation and Empowerment Initiative RATEI (Adamawa), KSE Khadija Sakaba Initiative (Kebbi), Initiative Against Dysfunction in Families (Ogun), Messiah Children Care Center (Niger) and Women Empowering the World (Plateau).

Together, these organizations formed a formidable network of compassion, logistics, and grassroots engagement, ensuring that food supplies reached those who needed them most.

Beneficiaries of Project Christmas With Hope 2025 cut across some of the most vulnerable demographics in society: widows struggling to sustain their households, men who are primary breadwinners but incapacitated by terminal illnesses, persons living with disabilities, and families whose income levels have been reduced to near zero. For many, the intervention represented more than food—it was reassurance that they had not been forgotten.

Beyond statistics, the project recorded deeply emotional human stories that have stirred public reaction nationwide. In Ekiti State, one such story unfolded when a state representative, a trained nurse, encountered a family unable to pay the medical bills of their young son living with sickle cell disease. Faced with the urgency of the situation, she made the compassionate decision to divert part of the outreach funds to save the child’s life. Subsequently, a one-year health insurance cover was secured for the child, ensuring continued access to medical care. The incident has been widely described as a defining moment of the true spirit behind Project Christmas With Hope.

In Osun State, volunteers visited a man and his family living in conditions described as gross lack and extreme deprivation. The intervention brought immediate relief, and the family’s reaction—marked by tears, prayers, and uncontainable joy—became a powerful reminder of why the project exists.

States such as Enugu and Kebbi stood out for their scale of impact, with 500 households reached in each state. In Enugu State, Orchard Hub Foundation further strengthened the initiative by collaborating with other local non-profits, expanding both coverage and efficiency, and demonstrating the power of community-based partnerships.

Speaking on the project, a representative of Hope Raisers Global Foundation noted:

“Project Christmas With Hope was born out of a simple belief—that hope can be restored when people come together in unity. What we are witnessing across the states is proof that compassion, when coordinated, can change lives and even save them.”

Public reactions to the 2025 edition have been described as overwhelming, with beneficiaries, volunteers, and observers alike calling for the initiative to continue and scale further. As Hope Raisers Global Foundation looks ahead to 2026, the organization is calling on kind-hearted Nigerians, corporate bodies, development partners, and the diaspora community to join hands in strengthening and sustaining the vision.

With hunger still a daily reality for millions, Project Christmas With Hope stands not just as a seasonal intervention, but as a growing movement—one that seeks to move Nigeria from emergency relief to sustainable solutions, and from despair to dignity.
