The CEO of SAF-SHE Enterprise, a non-governmental organization, Safiya Yaman have distributed food items worth thousands of naira to vulnerable men and women as a Ramadan support to help ease their hardship during this period.
Safiya Yaman, while speaking during the program in Minna, said that the initiative was born out of the zeal of giving support to the needy.
She said that the enterprise has been in existence for 5 years now and has been feeding poor and vulnerable people.
This year, she said the enterprise was supporting 60 men and women who were drawn from Maitumbi, Barking Sale, Kpakungu, Tayi village, and Tunga area of Minna.
The beneficiaries, while speaking to news men after the program, praise the gesture of the CEO and pray for Allah’s blessings upon her.
Meanwhile, the chairman NUJ Niger State chapter comrade Abu Nmadu who was represented by the council secretary, Comrade Usman Chiji, said Safiya Yaman who is a renounced journalist in the state has a large heart for the less privilege.
He encourages others who have little or more to learn give and share with those in need. With this, he said the world will be a better place to live in.
