The Director General, Media and Publicity Kano Government House, Malam Sanusi Bature DawakinTofa has laid foundation for Sadiq Maddibo Memorial Quranic Centre with a view to immortalise his son and father.
Disclosing this during the stone laying foundation of the school at Dawakin Tofa town, Malam Bature said the centre would be for learning and teaching of Qur’an.

The Director General added that the Centre would also propagate Islamic knowledge, revealing that the money for the building would be through his personal income as well as donation from friends, family and relatives.
He further added that the remittance of Sadiq medical bills and the money people donated during condolence visit would also be used for the take off of the centre.

The centre, according to him, apart from learning Islamic knowledge, it would also teaches formal education particularly English and Mathematics to enable the students be conversant with contemporary.
Malam Bature disclosed that Goni Ishaq Maratai would man the centre, adding that he was very versed in Quranic teaching for more than four decades.

” I have been in his school in the last 35 years and he (Goni) is still doing it, I wanted to promote what he has been doing manually with the support of this centre even though it is a going to be small one, because it is a dream and lifetime target, we will continue to develop it as soon as we have the resource.

It could be recalled that Sadiq Maddibo Bature died a week ago after he battled with sickle cell anaemia for 15 years.
