He emphasized that his business acumen, combined with his passion for the state’s development, makes him the ideal candidate to lead Ondo State to prosperity.

The SDP candidate identified the revival of moribund companies like Oluwa Glass, Okitipupa Oil Mill, and other dead agencies in Ondo State as a key priority. He pledged to restore these companies to their former glory, creating jobs, stimulating economic growth, and attracting investments. Akingboye also promised to provide support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), recognizing their critical role in driving economic development.

To address the pressing security concerns, Akingboye outlined a comprehensive security plan, which includes:

Establishing a robust security architecture to ensure the safety of citizens and investors
Collaborating with security agencies to tackle kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities
Implementing community policing initiatives to foster trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the public

Akingboye also emphasized the need to open local roads to enable farmers to access their farms, ensuring food security in the state. He promised to invest in agricultural infrastructure, including irrigation systems, storage facilities, and markets, to boost agricultural production and productivity.

The SDP candidate criticized the current government in Ondo State for failing to deliver despite receiving significant allocations. He argued that the people remain impoverished, and it’s time for a change. Akingboye vowed to prioritize transparency, accountability, and prudence in managing the state’s resources, ensuring that the wealth of Ondo State benefits its people.

The state Secretary of the SDP, who accompanied Akingboye to the program, expressed the party’s readiness to win the November 16 election. With Akingboye’s business expertise, the party’s commitment, and the support of the people, the SDP is poised to bring about the much-needed transformation in Ondo State.

As the election approaches, Ondo State residents eagerly await the opportunity to choose their next leader. Otunba Bamidele Akingboye’s message of hope, revival, and transformation resonates with many, and his candidacy is gaining momentum. Will he be the one to bring about the change Ondo State so desperately needs? Only time will tell.
