Local GovernmentInitiative Part of Comprehensive Agricultural Support Program Covering All 12 Local Governments in Jigawa North/West Senatorial DistrictSule Tankarkar, Jigawa State – Senator Babangida Usaini Walin Kazaure, representing Jigawa North/West Senatorial District, has launched a major agricultural support initiative with the donation of 600 bags of fertilizer to farmers in Sule Tankarkar Local Government.

This donation is part of a comprehensive program that will see each of the 12 local governments across his senatorial district receive 600 bags of fertilizer and ₦500,000 for transportation costs down to polling units. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Senator Wali emphasized that this initiative represents another opportunity to boost the economy from the grassroots level.
“This fertilizer distribution program is designed to directly impact our farming communities and strengthen agricultural productivity across our senatorial district,” Senator Wali stated. “We are committed to ensuring that our farmers have access to the resources they need to succeed.”The Senator gave assurance that he will continue to provide social development programs across his constituency, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to improving the lives of his constituents through targeted interventions in agriculture and rural development.

Professor Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, Managing Director of North West Development, praised Senator Wali’s efforts during his remarks at the ceremony. “Senator Wali’s effort can be described as that of a father waging war against poverty, and he is a good ambassador to his district,” Professor Ma’aji said. “This kind of grassroots intervention is exactly what our communities need to achieve sustainable development.
The Honorable Chairman of Sule Tankarkar Local Government, Alhaji Tasi’u Adamu, who hosted the occasion, welcomed the development with enthusiasm. “We are grateful for this timely intervention by our distinguished Senator, Chairman Adamu said. “I want to give assurance that we will ensure better distribution of this fertilizer to grassroots farmers who need it most.

In his vote of thanks, the Secretary of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of Garki Local Government, Jarman Garki Alhaji Adamu Hudu, made remarks supporting Senator Wali’s movement toward upgrading his district. “All chairmen in the district are,p on l very happy to receive these fertilizers at this crucial time,” he said.
“This fertilizer will help farmers significantly during this farming season.”The fertilizer distribution program comes at a critical time when farmers across Jigawa State are preparing for the upcoming planting season.
