SWS FCT Chapter Gets New Chairperson

The International President of Standup for Women Societies (SWS), Barr. Deborah Ijadele-Adetona, has announced the appointment of Lib. Mina Daniels as the new Chairperson of the SWS FCT Chapter. Lib. Daniels replaces the late Chairperson Lib. Stella Okoh-Esene and has been serving as the Vice Chairperson of the SWS FCT Chapter.

Lib. Mina Daniels is a seasoned broadcast journalist and Manager of News and Current Affairs at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She holds an MSc in Political Science (International Relations) and has over a decade of experience in media and public communication.

As a journalist, Lib. Daniels has established herself as a passionate voice in storytelling, advocacy, and environmental reporting. Her expertise spans critical areas including climate change, women’s development, and youth advocacy.

Lib. Daniels is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB).

She is also the founder of Mina’s Cradle of Hope, an NGO that supports young girls facing unwanted pregnancies and early motherhood. Her professional ethos is rooted in integrity, advocacy, and impactful storytelling, and she continues to use her platform to amplify underrepresented voices and foster inclusive dialogue.

The SWS FCT Chapter is expected to thrive under Lib. Daniels’ leadership, building on the legacy of the late Stella Okoh-Esene and advancing the organization’s mission to empower women and promote social change across the FCT.
