The newly appointed Accountant General of Taraba State, Mr. Gaius Danjuma has describe his appointment by Governor Kefas Agbu as a will of God.
He stated this in a statement issue to Journalists in Jalingo, the state capital.
“Your Excellency, today, God has sent you as Samuel in my own case to listen to Him alone, but not to man, to accomplish in my life the attainment of my highest lifting as the Accountant-
General of Taraba State.
“Your Excellency, Sir, I sincerely thank God for interceding on my behalf, through you, to end the session of endless proposals and counter-pro-posals as to who the cap of the Accountant -General of Taraba State best suits.
He pledge his unalloyed loyalty and ensure that the Office of the Accountant -General of the State is repositioned in order to maximize the attainment of the objectives for which the Office is established.
“Your Excellency, Sir, words alone cannot thank you enough for what the Lord has used you to accomplish in my journey through the State Civil Service.
“There is a popular adage that whenever the time for an epoch is due, nothing stops it from coming to fruition to the glory of God.
“There is no controversy about the fact that God uses His discerning servants, not mere servants, to elevate people appropriately.
“We could recall that when it was time to elevate David as King over Israel, God sent a major discerning Prophet, Samuel, for the task.
“I pledge my unalloyed loyalty to you to ensure that the Office of the Accountant -General of the State is repositioned in order to maximize the attainment of the objectives for which the Office is established.
“May the Almighty God continue to guide you in all your decisions as you pilot the affairs of the State at this very critical time in the socio-political and economic history of the State in Jesus’ mighty name – the statement concluded.
Recall that Governor, Agbu Kefas approved the appointment of Gaius Danjuma as the Accountant General of the state which was contained in a statement by the State Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Suzy Nathan.
According to the statement, Agbu also approved the appointment of Mr. Giwa Dugule as deputy Accountant General of the State. It noted that the both appointments take immediate effect.
Our correspondent reports that, Taraba State have over two months without Accountant General following the sack of Mr. Aminu Ayuba a.k.a kotolo.
