Taraba : New Bishop of the Global Methodist Church GMC Calls for Prayers from members to enable him succeed

The newly elected Bishop of the Global Methodist Church GMC, Bishop John Pena Auta, has solicited for prayers from members of the Church to enable him to succeed in the task of taking the Church forward.

He stated this during a reception in his honor at the Church Auditorium in jalingo.

He said that leadership is a very tasking job, looking at the task before him.

“The work is tasking and huge, therefore I need your support and prayers to enable me succeed.

“I pray that God in his own way will enable me to feed the Church, so that everyone at the end of the day, will have Salvation in Jesus Christ.

He call on members to be United to build the Church that God has given to them and has also call them to serve.

The newly elected Bishop, Bishop Dr. John Pena Auta said he was elected to serve for two (2) years, therefore, he solicited support, cooperation, and prayers from the members of the church for them to continue to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and for the growth of the church.

” To all Pastors of the Church I urge you to put heads together and continue with the work of the Lord, for it is tasking and huge that requires all hands to be on deck.

“The election in Global Methodist Church GMC is different from that of United Methodist Church in Nigeria UMCN. I Pray that God will give me double passion to work more than my predicessor.

He expressed optimism that God will grant him the wisdom to lead the congregation, at the end everyone will have salvation.

“Pray for me, I need your support and prayers, for there are lot of challenges, I cannot do it alone, I invite you so that we can do it together.

On Nigeria @64, the Bishop said that he believe that God created the country not by mistake.

“I wish everyone a happy celebration and I believe that God that created us in Nigeria is not by mistake.

“So God in his own way will continue to uphold us and will deliver us from any challenges we are passing through.

“By the grace of God, we shall overcome – he said.

The Bishops were accompanied by their wives and the event was concluded with a celebration gallow by members.
