The appointment of session parliamentary technocrat Professor Jake Dan- Azumi as the Chief of Staff to the Speaker of House of Representative, Rt. Hon.Tajudeen Abbas has been describe as the right step in the right direction.
A statement made available to Journalists in Jalingo, the Member representing Ardo – Kola State constituency, Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Happy Shorunba describe the appointment as well deserve.

“I congratulate Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi on his assumption of office today as the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.
“The appointment of Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi is well deserved appointment and a testimony of his hard work and excellent service delivery in the National Assembly for the past 14 years.
He describe him as a first-class material who is bringing on board his experience as an international consultant in parliamentary affairs.
“As a former Technical Assistant to the Director General, of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), National Assembly, Jake Dan-Azumi is best suited for the job.
“As a professor of Political Science and Development Studies, Jake has extensive experience in development work focusing on democratic governance and public policy, parliamentary institutional strengthening, research, peace and security, human rights, conflict, and peace building among others, which is an asset to the Speaker.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Ardo-Kola State Constituency whom I represent in the State House of Assembly, I want to congratulate the Zing-born finest professional on this appointment and pray to God to grant him the wisdom and grace to excel and make Taraba and Nigeria proud.
He appreciated Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas for finding a friend, brother, and husband from Taraba State worthy of such a sensitive position.
He use the forum to call on Nigerians to support the Chief of staff to the Rt. Honourable Speaker of the 10th National Assembly to succeed in his new assignment.
