Niger : Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Tasks 454 Newly recruited Constables to be Law abiding

The Speaker Niger state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik SarkinDaji has tasked the newly recruited police constable to always abide by the rules and regulations of the police force.

The Speaker disclosed this when he represented the Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago at the passing out parade (POP) of 454 Recruit Constables 2022 intake, held at the Police Training School, Minna.

Abdulmalik sarkindaji commended the inspector General of Police for his gender sensitivity in the recruitment exercise, which he said it first of its kind in the college that the females recruits constitutes about 35 percent of the total number of constables passing out.

He Commended the zeal of the newly recruited constables during the period of their six month mandatory basic police training and for the knowledge acquired which have been demonstrated and put it into use as they fine themselves in the larger societies.

The Speaker applauded Nigeria Police force under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetotun for his commitment in safeguarding lives and properties of the citizens,.

In his Remark the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetotun who was represented at the occasion by the AIG Zone 7 Abuja, AIG. Benneth C. Igweh, thanked the Government and people of Niger State for their support and contributions to the Nigeria Police force.

He said the event marks a significant milestones in the Nigerian Police recruitment derive according to him this event is taking place currently at four premier police colleges and the 12 Police Training Schools nationwide which mark’s the completion of the six (6) month mandatory basic training programmes that have push the recruits to their physical and intellectual limit.

According to him the passing out parade signified pivotal training of the recruits as they formally assume their roles as professional police officers, He therefore admonished them to be steadfast in their career and to always take decisions and be guided by the principles of the force to avoid being sanctioned.
