…says performance in 3rd and 4th year anniversary will be better

The Archdeacon and Vicar of Saint James Anglican Church, Asokoro, Venerable Benjamin Idume, has described President Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Nyesom Wike, as the FCT Minister, as visionary and divine.

He stated this during a live broadcast thanksgiving service by the FCT Minister in Abuja, held to celebrate the unprecedented successful commissioning of 16 projects marking President Tinubu’s second year in office.

He added that performance in the 3rd and 4th years will surpass the feats already attained.

He recalled how some people initially resisted Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister because of his southern regional origin but expressed delight at Wike’s evident performance, which everyone can now see and feel.

“You have reflected that indeed you are a child of God by distinguishing yourself. You will not be a failure. God will be with you till the end. Your adversaries cannot stop you,” he said.

According to Venerable Idume, previous FCT administrations had done their bit, but the Wike-led administration has re-written the narrative of the FCT in an unbelievable manner, particularly in terms of policy reforms and road infrastructure.

Venerable Idume lauded Tinubu for sustaining Wike’s appointment, noting that it takes a truly visionary leader to identify and appoint people who can support and implement his vision, regardless of state of origin, religion, or party affiliation.

“I will not fail to thank President Tinubu who appointed this man (Wike) to be Minister, because even though he was hiding in Rivers, Tinubu brought him here. President himself is a visionary president. He can see vision, that is why he saw that Wike can do something.”

“This year is second anniversary, by the third year you will do better, by the fourth year you will be rounding up the first phase. Then, you warm up for the next round of assignments. God will empower you in Jesus name,” Idume prayed.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Nyesom Wike, assured that President Bola Tinubu’s administration will not leave any stone unturned in building an Abuja that everyone would be proud of.

“We are contributing our own quota and it is left for the people to judge our performance. We will continue to work hard to improve on what Mr President has promised FCT residents and Nigerians in general.”
