Dear Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, I warmly congratulate the leadership and entire membership of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) on the remarkable occasion of NAWOJ at 37.
Thirty-seven years of advocacy, professional excellence, courage and commitment to journalism is a significant milestone worthy of celebration. Over the years, NAWOJ has remained an important platform for amplifying women’s voices, promoting professional development and advancing the role of women in the media and society.
This anniversary is not only a celebration of the journey so far, but also an opportunity to honour the women who have contributed to the growth and development of NAWOJ and to celebrate the new generation of women journalists carrying the torch forward.
As NAWOJ marks this special milestone, may the Association continue to grow in strength, unity and influence, while remaining committed to the highest ideals of journalism, professionalism, truth and service to society.
Congratulations to the National Leadership, State Chapters, executives and every member of NAWOJ and Past Leaders of NAWOJ who held forth and brought it to where it is today.
