Women’s Economic Empowerment: BWI-RHA Backs National E-Mobility Programme

By Sharon Akuboh

The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA) has thrown its weight behind the National E-Mobility Programme for Nigerian Women, describing the initiative as a significant step towards strengthening women’s economic independence.

BWI-RHA was represented at the flag-off ceremony of the programme, which seeks to empower Nigerian women to own electric vehicles and create additional sources of income through opportunities in the emerging electric mobility sector.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and private-sector partners, with a focus on women’s economic empowerment, sustainable transportation and inclusive participation in Nigeria’s evolving e-mobility industry.

The organisation said its participation reflects its commitment to supporting programmes that open new economic opportunities for women while contributing to Nigeria’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation.

BWI-RHA reaffirmed its readiness to support initiatives that promote women’s entrepreneurship, financial independence and meaningful participation in the nation’s economic development.
