The Coordinator of the Tinubu Bago Ruga Ruga Initiative, Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro, has announced that 50 Fulani women will be granted freedom and supported with farm inputs to help them become self reliant.
He made this known during a courtesy visit to the Niger Foods office, where he commended the Governor Farmer Umar Mohammed Bago and the company for its consistent support to Fulani women engaged in farming.

Hassan Usman highlighted that the partnership with Niger Foods has motivated the women to cultivate pepper (tatase), ugu leaves, maize, and rice crops that are now boosting their income and strengthening food security within their communities. He added that 100 youths will also be enrolled and trained in modern agriculture to curb unemployment and enhance productivity.
Alhaji Hassan Usman further extended an invitation to Niger Foods to attend the upcoming programme scheduled for 29/11/2024.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of Livestock Niger Foods.Dr. Tumsiyya Mann Isah, explained the importance of using artificial insemination on cattle to improve livestock quality and productivity.
She emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with Niger Foods to achieve better breeding outcomes and enhance the overall livestock value chain.
The Executive Director of Niger Foods, Mr. Ola Oloyede, appreciated the delegation for their visit and expressed his gratitude for their continued partnership.
He further explained the company’s commitment to advancing livestock production, emphasizing the need for greater integration and sensitization to strengthen the sector and improve overall productivity.
