A CAF Licensed Instructor and former Nigerian athlete, Dr. Alex Suleiman Mana, has applauded the Director General of the National Institute for Sports, Comrade Philip Shaibu, for his efforts in sports development in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole.
Dr. Mana made the commendation during the fitness test for new intake students at the Kaduna Centre of the National Institute for Sports.
He said Comrade Shaibu has brought renewed energy and reforms to the Institute, which are already yielding positive results in training and capacity building for Nigerian coaches and athletes.
The fitness test / screening exercise was led by Dr. Mana alongside the Acting Coordinator of the Kaduna Zonal Office, Kamaludeen Ibrahim Haruna
The screening exercise, according to Dr. Mana, is part of routine screening to ensure that newly admitted students are physically and medically fit for sports training programmes.
