Tribute Obituary Announcement
With deep shock and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kwara State Chapter, announces the painful death of our beloved Secretary, Mariam AbdulKadri Yusuf.
Mariam, a dedicated journalist with Radio Kwara, passed away today, leaving a void that will be difficult to fill in our association and in the journalism profession in Kwara State.
Until her death, she was an active, loyal and committed Secretary of NAWOJ Kwara, who discharged her duties with passion, diligence and an uncommon sense of responsibility.
Mariam was known to all for her very pleasant and cheerful disposition to everybody. She was ever smiling, warm, accommodating and radiated joy and positivity that endeared her to everyone who came in contact with her. She was a sister, a friend and a thorough professional.
The death of Mariam is not just a loss to NAWOJ, but a huge loss to Radio Kwara, to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kwara Council and to the entire media family.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, the management and staff of Radio Kwara, and pray that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, grants her Aljanat Firdaus and gives us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
