Former PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 general election in Ebonyi State, High Chief Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, popularly known as Anyichuks has thrown his full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as timely and transformative.

Odii made the declaration shortly after resigning his membership of the PDP on Thursday, January 1, 2026, saying the President’s policies have positively altered Nigeria’s political and economic landscape.
He said the Tinubu administration has recorded notable progress in road infrastructure development, security, youth empowerment, and political inclusion of the South-East, adding that the region now enjoys a renewed sense of belonging at the national level.
According to him, the President’s strategic appointments of Ndigbo into key positions have strengthened unity and boosted confidence in the federal government. “The Renewed Hope Agenda is visible in infrastructure, security and youth empowerment. The South-East is more secure today than before, and we are proud of the President’s commitment to inclusion,” Odii said.
The businessman and philanthropist stressed that although governance is an evolving process, the Tinubu administration has clearly set Nigeria on the right path.
On the 2027 general elections, Odii announced that he would not seek any elective office, declaring instead his readiness to support candidates endorsed by the Presidency. “I am not contesting in 2027. I will support whoever the Presidency backs. The President has done so much for the South-East, and we must reciprocate with our support,” he stated.
Odii clarified that his resignation from the PDP does not amount to defection to another political party, dismissing speculations surrounding his next political move.
He urged Nigerians, particularly people of the South-East, to rally behind President Tinubu to ensure continuity, stability and consolidation of his administration’s policies.
Odii concluded by expressing optimism for the year 2026, describing it as a year of hope and prosperity for Ebonyi State and Nigeria at large.
