The Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Professor Shamsudeen Mohammed has scored the International Studies Alumni Association high marks for its laudable contributions to the university’s system.

Professor Mohammed gave the pass mark when he received a delegation of the association led by its National President, Ambassador Muntari Kaita.
The delegation was at the university’s main campus in Zaria to express appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala for his support to the association’s activities.
The Dean noted that the association, which is a departmental alumni group, is the forefront among other similar groups in giving back to their alma mater and organising programmes to enhance learning.
“On behalf of the VIce Chancellor, we commend the International Studies Alumni Association for its support to the Department of Political Science and International Studies and the university system in recent times,” he said.
He urged other departmental and faculties alumnus to emulate the International Studies alumni in support their respective departments and faculties to boost academic exercise.
Earlier, Ambassador Kaita asked the Faculty Dean to convey association’s appreciation to the vice chancellor for his support since the inception of group in 2021, and also for attending its programmes.
The president also thanked the Dean and Head of Department of Political Science and International Studies, as well as the lecturers and students for the success stories been recorded by the association.
The delegation was unable to meet the Vice Chancellor, who had travelled to China on official duties.
The association established in October, 2021, is an organisation of graduates of the International Studies programme of the university.
It aims at enhancing cooperation and camaraderie among all graduates of International Studies programme and the department, its lecturers and the university community.
